Disclosures

How we make money. What we won't do for it.

Senior care is a trust-driven niche. Hidden financial relationships poison it. We disclose every one we have, plainly.

Our revenue streams

ParentCare Nav makes money from four sources:

  1. Digital products— primarily the $15 Hospital Discharge Crisis Kit, and similar structured playbooks we'll release going forward. This is our most direct, lowest-conflict revenue stream. We sell a product; you decide if it's worth $15.
  2. Advisor sessions (planned for later phase) — one-hour consultations with credentialed senior care advisors (RN, LCSW, or Aging Life Care Professional). Roughly $300–500 per session when launched.
  3. Lead-generation referrals — home care agencies, Medicare Advantage brokers, and long-term care insurance providers pay us a referral fee when we connect them with a qualified family. This is the dominant revenue stream long-term in the senior care content space.
  4. Newsletter sponsorships (future) — when the newsletter reaches enough subscribers, ethical sponsors may fund parts of it. Always disclosed in the email.

Affiliate and referral relationships

Where we have specific commercial relationships, we disclose them on the page they apply to. Every article or guide that links to a home care agency, Medicare broker, or insurance product where we receive compensation for the referral will say so, in plain English, near the link.

We do nothave affiliate relationships with specific medical providers, hospitals, assisted living facilities, or memory care facilities. We avoid those relationships specifically because the trust cost is too high. If we ever change that policy, we'll disclose it prominently and grandfather existing content accordingly.

What our content is not

We will never:

  • Provide specific medical, legal, or financial advice. We explain how systems work; we don't prescribe.
  • Guarantee benefit eligibility for any individual reader. State Medicaid rules, VA benefit determinations, and Medicare appeals are all case-specific.
  • Recommend a specific facility or provider without disclosing every commercial relationship that exists.
  • Use grief, fear, or urgency in marketing. No countdown timers. No "limited time only." No fake scarcity.
  • Publish AI-generated content on state-specific legal or medical topics without explicit human review by someone credentialed in that area.
  • Sell or rent your email address to third parties.

Editorial process

Articles are drafted in collaboration with AI assistants, reviewed for accuracy, and continuously updated as benefits, rules, and rates change. We cite primary sources (CMS.gov, VA.gov, AHA, AARP, federal statutes) where claims about programs and eligibility are made.

For content involving legal, medical, or state-specific regulatory questions, we plan to add credentialed reviewers — elder-law attorneys, licensed clinical social workers, and registered nurses — to the editorial process as the site matures. Until that's in place, we restrict content to federal-level guidance where the regulatory complexity is lower and we direct readers to qualified professionals for state-specific or case-specific questions.

Updates and corrections

Senior care policy changes frequently. We update articles on a quarterly cadence and when major rule changes occur (e.g., CMS announcements, VA rate adjustments, state Medicaid changes).

If you find an error, an outdated figure, or a misleading framing, email hello@parentcarenav.com. Corrections are posted at the top of the affected article. We don't silently edit.

Refund policy

The Hospital Discharge Crisis Kit (and all future digital products) carries a 7-day no-questions refund policy. If the kit didn't deliver value, email support@parentcarenav.com within 7 days of purchase and we refund. No friction. No survey. No retention attempts.

Privacy

We collect email addresses for newsletter and lead-magnet delivery. We use an email service provider (currently evaluating ConvertKit and Beehiiv) for list management. We do not sell, rent, or share email lists with third parties.

We use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to understand traffic patterns at the aggregate level (which articles are read, how readers navigate the site). We do not use individual-identifying tracking for advertising purposes. We do not run third-party retargeting pixels.
